Dinosaurs are magical. That’s a fact. There are so many reasons why, but one of our favourites is that we have no exact idea what colour any of them were – which made this project super fun! We do know, however, that some were feathered, some had scales, some were stripey, and some were purple. (We may have made one of those up…)
Each dinosaur you can see here is cut out of recycled card and laid over hand painted watercolour patterns. You’ve got old favourites like Stegasaurus and Brachiosaurus, but have you met Maiasaura, Euoplocephalus or Deinonychus? Fun fact for you about the former: Maiasaura translates literally to “good mother lizard” because the most intact fossil found was nestled atop a cluster of her eggs! This is why we’ve pictured her here with her lil mini Maiasaura baby! The more you know!
Each poster is hand painted to order, and so natural changes may occur. So yours might not look identical to ours – but very very close!
